Girl Scouts are the bomb! The Girl Scouts organization promises that here, girls will grow strong. Scouting provides a environment that nurtures girls and helps them develop confidence and the tools they need to survive and thrive in today’s world.

If your daughter wants to improve her skills and build her self-esteem—and have fun doing it—then scouting might be just what she would like to pursue.

Program activities are developed for each age level within the scouting world, and all of them encourage respect and inclusiveness.

Open to girls from ages 5 to 17, the Girl Scout program helps girls develop to their full potential.

Activities are fun and patches are awarded for various accomplishments.

In addition, scouts can earn bronze, silver and gold awards for their participation and excellence in the programs.

Programs include Campbell’s Labels for Education, Bridging the Gap, GirlSports and the Pen Pal Network, all designed to highlight different types of recognition and accomplishment. Membership is only $10 per year and offers meetings and activities that join adults with kids for an ongoing mentoring opportunity that isn’t offered in many places. Parents can get involved in myriad ways and boost their girls’ pride and self-esteem. Girl Scouts—it’s about a lot more than cookies!
