Restaurants at Stardust
WILLIAM B'S
Once in a great while, the past takes on a new meaning in the present.
William B's Steakhouse at the Stardust Resort and Casino does just that with its
turn of the century motif and American cuisine.
The restaurant offers a gourmet feast in a relaxing but elegant atmosphere.
Tucked away from the main casino, dining at William B's is quiet and intimate.
The room is decorated in mahogany, brass and cut glass with fascinating
decorative touches from days gone by.
A delicious way to start the meal is with one of the many fine appetizers such
as escargot, clams casino, stuffed scampi or oysters Rockefeller.
Next comes the salad. Diners may choose spinach salad with bacon dressing,
finished tableside, Caesar salad or the house salad, which combines hearts of
iceberg and Boston lettuce, snow peas, artichoke hearts, sliced egg and homemade
dressing.
The entree comes with baked potato or wild rice, a fresh vegetable of the day,
and hot, fresh-baked bread. With so many fine dishes to choose from, a selection
may be difficult, but the tender steaks are first-class cuts and reasonably
priced. Other mouth-watering entrees include Australian lobster tails, veal kiwi
and rack of lamb among many others.
After all of this, there might not be room for dessert, but mocha cake,
strawberry cheesecake and other delights fresh from the Stardust's bakery will
tempt the most conscientious dieter. Top off the meal with William B's coffee, a
rich blend of Tia Maria, Galliano and whipped cream. The decor and service are
opulent but recommended dress is casual.
