Silverton Casino and Lodge is a great value resort for families visiting Las Vegas. With a casual atmosphere that couples with children find warm and welcoming, this recently renovated hotel makes a great home away from home for travelers. Adults, of course, will love the more than 1,000 slots and video machines at Silverton and the huge variety of table games available as well. Promotions are plentiful, from cash and car give-a-ways to fun game show-style events trekking through the gaming areas. But probably the most unique thing about this hotel is the 117,000 gallon on-premises aquarium that is home to more than 4,000 tropical fish, 3 species of stingray, and white-spotted bamboo sharks.

Kids are thrilled with "Azure", the evening "mermaid" show, occurring each hour after dusk. This gargantuan tank is not the only aquarium at the Silverton. The Mermaid Lounge boasts 2 jellyfish aquariums, there's another in the Bass Pro Shop and an additional one that houses catfish, carp, and bass.

When guests are through marveling at the fish, there's lots of other entertainment as well including concerts and variety shows, most suitable for all ages.
